Qatar Airways launches daily Doha-Kigali flights

State of Qatar’s national carrier Qatar Airways recently announced the launch of its flights to Rwanda.

Qatar Airways flights between Doha International Airport and Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport was launched on March 21, 2012.

Rwanda’s capital Kigali is the latest addition to the airline’s African network. It is also the third destination to be launched by the airline so far this year.

Qatar flights tickets to Azerbaijan and Georgia are available now as the airline began flights to both these destinations in February this year.

Kigali has now become the airline’s 17th route in Africa. Flights to Kigali will be operated through Entebbe.

The airline indicated that it will be further expanding across East Africa during 2012, and will launch new routes to Mombasa, Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro.

Apart from Kigali, Mombasa, Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro, Qatar Airways will be launching new routes from Doha to Baku, Tbilisi, Perth, Zagreb, Gassim, Helsinki, Belgrade, Erbil, Baghdad and Yangon during 2012.
