Scandinavian Airlines to launch direct Birmingham-Stockholm flights in October

Scandinavian Airlines recently announced it will open new direct route to the Swedish capital Stockholm from Birmingham in October this year.

The airline in a statement said that Scandinavian Airlines flights will be launched between Birmingham and Stockholm from October. The airline will be operating flights services between the two cities six times every week.
The six-time weekly service will complement the airline’s existing direct services from London Heathrow, Manchester and Edinburgh.
 
The passengers are being offered Scandinavian Airlines flights tickets starting from $161.61 (104 pounds), one-way including all taxes and charges.

Hans Dyhrfort, Scandinavian Airlines’ Regional General Manager for the UK, said that the airline is delighted to announce the expansion of its flight operations from the UK’s second largest city Birmingham, with 8 million people living within 60 minutes of the airport.

Martyn Lloyd, Air Services Development Director for Birmingham Airport, said that Scandinavian Airlines has finally recognized the need for services to Stockholm benefiting Midlands’ travelers. The airline has rightly taken the decision to expand its route network from Birmingham Airport.
