South African Airways expands African network

South African Airways is expanding its African network and announced significant schedule and route upgrades. Besides, the airline has also added frequencies to several destinations and included new or upgraded aircraft on certain routes.

The airline has indicated that it will introduce additional flights to Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ghana. The passengers will be able to book South African Airways flights tickets to Lusaka (Zambia), Kinshasa (DRC), and Accra (Ghana) with the launching of flights to these destinations starting from February 25, 2012.

South African Airways flights to Lusaka will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays; Kinshasa on Mondays through Saturdays; and Accra daily except Wednesdays.

Besides, the airline is also bringing changes in schedules for regional flights. The airline will be adjusting the departure and arrival times for flights between Johannesburg and Mauritius (from 1 March 2012), Nairobi (from 18 March 2012) and Accra (from 25 March 2012), for convenient connections to South African Airway’s international flights.
