Spirit Airlines launching nonstop flights between Portland and San Diego in November

Leading U.S. ultra low cost carrier Spirit Airlines recently announced it is planning to launch nonstop flights between San Diego and Portland this fall.

The airline in a statement said that Spirit Airlines flights between the two cities would be launched starting from November 8, 2012, and would be operated on a daily basis.

According to the airline, with the launch of flights San Diego would become the third nonstop destination from Portland on the airline’s network. The other two destinations from where Spirit Airlines operates flights from Portland include Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth.

Providing the flight schedule of the new Portland-San Diego flight, the airline disclosed that flights would depart for San Diego at 6.15 am from Portland International Airport. The return flight would depart San Diego for Portland at 8.48 pm.
 
Spirit Airlines through its Airbus fleet currently operates more than 200 flights daily to more than 50 destinations.

Apart from new flights between Portland and San Diego, Spirit Airlines is also launching nonstop flights between Denver and Phoenix, and also daily flights to Las Vegas and Chicago from Houston.
