SWISS gives iPads to its cabin crew

SWISS flights cabin crew will now be equipped with iPads. The airline recently provided its 650 cabin crew staff with iPads aimed at significantly reducing their overall workload.

The airline in a statement said that the iPads will be provided to its cabin crew on all SWISS flights starting this June. The iPads are expected to ease the duties and tasks of the cabin services directors of the airline during the entire flight process, which includes prior to departures, onboard the flights and after the final landing of the flights.

By deciding to provide iPads, the airline will also be permitting its staff not to use the traditional printed manuals in the future.

The airline has specially developed a new iPad app tailored to its needs. The airline’s maître de cabine will be able to access all kinds of latest information related to their destinations and flights and keep themselves up-to-date with all the happenings.
