SWISS introduces new London-Basel route

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) recently announced it is launching its new route to Basel from London City Airport.

The airline in a statement said that SWISS flights between London and Basel will be operated twice daily starting from May 21, 2012. The airline will be operating the new route with the help of its own ARJ 100 aircraft.

The launch of the new route will be providing a convenient way to the business and leisure travelers to travel between the business hubs of London and Basel.

Currently, SWISS flights tickets are available from Zurich and Geneva to London as the airline operates flights to Zurich seven-times daily and Geneva four-times daily from London City Airport offering the most varied choice of flights to and from Switzerland.

With the launch of the new London-Basel route, SWISS’ UK routes will now be offering a total of 36 daily flights from London Heathrow, London City, Birmingham International, Manchester and Dublin to Switzerland, and via its hub in Zurich to other worldwide destinations.
