SWISS long-haul First and Business Class passengers to be provided light summer meals

First and Business Class passengers taking SWISS flights will be offered light summer meals. The meals have been specially created by Alexander Kroll of Zurich’s Widder Hotel. The special meals will be served on board the flights over the next three months.

The airline in a statement said that Kroll’s creations would be deftly accompanied by specialist cheeses and wines from the Canton Zurich region.
Passengers booking SWISS flights tickets in Business Class will be served chicken breast with lemon oil and parsley polenta. For First Class passengers, the airline will serve monkfish medallions with gremolata.

However, passengers in both the classes will also be served Zurich’s best-known culinary speciality, “Zurich Geschnetzeltes”: sliced veal with mushroom cream sauce.

According to the airline, a selection of cheeses and wines from the Canton Zurich region will be accompanied with the dishes. “Sennenflade” and “Bachtelstein” will be among the local cheeses to be offered to the travelers. The regional wines on offer include a Schiterberger Himmelsleiterli AOC Pinot Noir, a Gamaret Prestige Barrique and a Pinot Gris from the shores of Lake Zurich.
