SWISS to deploy its own Airbus A340-300 on Zurich-Newark route

Swiss International Air Lines or SWISS recently announced it will start operating daily nonstop flights between Zurich and Newark (for New York) from March 31, 2012 with the help of its own Airbus A340-300 aircraft.

The aircraft will be configured in three classes, with a total of 219 seats per flight.

The airline in a statement said that it will now start offering three daily nonstop flights between Zurich and New York.

With the introduction of its own Airbus A340-300 aircraft, SWISS flights will see its capacity being increased by at least 33 percent on its Zurich-Newark route.

The airline further stated that the concerned Newark flights have also been rescheduled to improve connections to/from various other European markets via SWISS’ Zurich hub.

SWISS is the only European carrier to offer flights on aircrafts configured with three class cabins – First Class, Business Class and Economy Class – on all its intercontinental flights.
