THAI to receive its first Airbus A380 aircraft on September 27

Thailand’s national flag carrier Thai Airways International, popularly known as THAI, recently announced it would be including Airbus A380 aircrafts into its fleet.

THAI flights will take to the skies soon as the airline is all set to receive its first Airbus A380 aircraft on September 27, 2012. The airline in a statement said that it will operate THAI flights between Hong Kong and Singapore using its first Airbus A380 aircraft.

Chokechai Panyayong, Acting Chief Executive Officer of THAI, said that three Airbus A380 aircrafts would be delivered to the airline within this year.

The airline would be operating the first Airbus A380 aircraft on Hong Kong-Singapore route, while the second Airbus A380 aircraft would be used to operate THAI flights services on the Bangkok-Frankfurt route.

Panyayong said that THAI would be buying a total of six Airbus A380 aircrafts. He further added that each of the Airbus A380 aircraft would have a capacity of 507 seats to accommodate the passengers.
