A glimpse into Cathay Pacific's business class lounge at the Pier

Have you ever had an opportunity to visit the new business class lounge of Cathay Pacific Airways at the Pier at Hong Kong International Airport? The moment you enter into the new lounge it would seem as though you have stepped into the streets of Hong Kong, which albeit is its miniature.

The airline's business class lounge is spread in an area of 3,306 metres. This is the largest of all lounges of Cathay Pacific Airways. The new lounge is also more than half large than the old lounge which it has replaced. The lounge has a seating capacity of 550 people. Cathay Pacific Airways' new business class lounge at the Pier is situated near the departure gate 65 in Hong Kong International Airport's Terminal One. The lounge will be offering access to the airline's business class customers, oneworld membership cardholders equivalent to Sapphire, and gold and silver Marco Polo members.

As you enter the lounge you will arrive at a thoroughfare, which runs through its heart, and seems to be as long as the popular Nathan Street itself. A “fast lane” is on one side of the lounge, where you can look forward to enjoying food and drinks. However, there's a “slow lane” on the lounge's other side. Here you can relax on luxurious chairs while soaking up the fascinating views of the runway through floor-to-ceiling windows in quiet lounge areas.

The food hall is a major highlight of the lounge's fast lane. Here you can find both self-service and full-service meals. A coffee cart operated by Barista, and modeled on the street food carts of Asia, can also be found here. As you proceed, you will come across a relaxed lounge bar as well as the airline's signature noodle bar, situated beside the food hall. That's not all. World's only airport-lounge teahouse in the “wellbeing area” is ready to welcome you. Here you can enjoy your cup of tea from a menu of 11 teas at the green-tiled, quiet teahouse. A tea specialist would also be there for you to help you choose the best from the list.
