Business travelers booking Alitalia flights will now get exciting flying experience. The airline has opened its new "Dolce Vita" Lounge at Terminal 1 in Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci International Airport-Fiumicino. The airline’s new lounge has been exquisitely designed and is spread over an area of nearly 700 square meters. This is among the largest of the existing 15 lounges being currently operated by Alitalia.

The Dolce Vita Lounge can be accessed by passengers booking business class flights on Alitalia. The lounge is also open for passengers traveling in the airline’s Comfort Class, Ottima, and Magnifica Class. Besides, Alitalia’s frequent flyer program members holding Freccia Alata, Plus Alitalia, Club Freccia Alata, as well as SkyTeam Elite Plus cards are also eligible to get access to the new lounge.
 
The lounge is split into two main areas with the purpose of optimizing traffic flows. The relaxation and refreshment area are situated at the left of the entrance, while the ticketing, check-in and servicing area is at the right side of the entrance.

The Pilot Bar is the main highlight of the relaxation and refreshment area. You will feel as if you are on board your flight with the original instruments here that are only to be found on the planes. Treat yourself to freshly-brewed Italian coffee and a choice of culinary delights special to Italy. Apart from enjoying meals and drinks, this area offers complete relaxation to the travelers.

The lounge also has an exclusive area to merchandise Alitalia. Here the travelers can utilize the opportunity to purchase unique Alitalia-branded products. Apart from buying them on site, these products can also be purchased online.
