A Sneak Peek into the AC Hotel New Orleans by Marriott

The long awaited AC Hotel by Marriott is now open in New Orleans. The hotel located in the Bourbon/French Quarter Area at 221 Carondelet Street, offers comfortable stay in this iconic neighborhood which is renowned for its St. Louis Cathedral and French Market. The hotel has 220 guest rooms on 8 floors with European style décor. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi and mini fridges.

The Guestrooms
The guest rooms set in warm and earthy tones are stylish and comfortable. The beds and down/feather pillows are among the best. The bed is a Serta Perfect Sleeper – Corporate Suite. The guests can access free Wi-Fi and download or stream media at a reasonable charge.

The closet concept is quite interesting. Positioned in an alcove of the room, the freestanding closet has a rod to hang the clothes, a small drawer, the safe and ironing board. The robe and slippers are kept here. A small leather bench is positioned next to the desk to keep your luggage. There are six outlets and USB ports each next to the desk and bed. The 47-inch flat television also functions as the in-room easy-to-navigate directory.

The Public Spaces
There is an AC Kitchen which serves croissants, sweet quiches and almond milk coffee. The AC Lounge features a bar with signature cocktails including Southern Señorita and Porch Rocker, apart from cocktails on tap. Spanish style tapas plates are served as snacks.

The AC Store offers traditional and local snacks, wines, electronic essentials and toiletries. A wine bottle opener stuck to the store’s wall also comes in handy.

On each floor, there is a Hydration Station where one can get ice and filtered water. The hotel has a laundry room and a fitness center with the latest equipment.

Near the check-in desk, there are a bunch of iMacs where the guests can print important documents and the Saints tickets wirelessly.
