Aer Lingus boosting frequencies on Dublin-San Francisco route

Ireland’s leading low-cost carrier Aer Lingus recently announced it will be boosting the frequencies on relaunched direct Dublin-San Francisco route soon. The airline will start offering daily flights services between the two destinations from 2015.

Aer Lingus said that the customers are welcome to take advantage of cheap airfares and book their flights to San Francisco for next summer. The airline is presently operating flights five times per week and will now be converting it to seven days per week or daily service.

The route between Irish capital city Dublin and San Francisco was relaunched by Ireland’s flagship carrier in April this year. A spokesman of Aer Lingus said that operating a daily service is a feasible and profitable option for the airline. He said that operating daily flights had indeed been a top priority and a major part of the airline’s business plan. The airline is however yet to announce its flight schedule for next summer.

Earlier, Aer Lingus first launched flight operations between San Francisco and Dublin from 2007 and continued until 2009. The airline had to stop its operations because of the economic downturn. This worsened the airline’s financial situation and prompted it to ultimately go for cost-cutting measures.

The airline is now pleased and expressed satisfaction over the relaunch of Dublin-San Francisco route. The airline further said that the new route is performing well according to the plans. According to Aer Lingus, the route is proving to be beneficial for customers from London, other cities of the UK and Paris who want to travel to San Francisco.
