Aer Lingus new business class cabin – An Inside View!

Aer Lingus is bracing to launch its new business class cabin in 2015. The airline wants to remain ahead of its transatlantic competitors by offering smooth travel to its premium customers. Along with its attractive features, the airline will offer convenient travel by efficiently combining U.S. Customs and Border pre-clearance at Dublin Airport.

The business class cabin is likely to be launched between January and March 2015. Here’s a look into the offerings to be made in the airline’s new business class.

According to Aer Lingus, the business class cabin will be equipped with fully lie-flat seats. The upgrade is small, though quite important. The airline is presently offering angle lie-flat beds. The fully lie-flat seat will recline into 2-metre bed. At least 90 percent of the business class seats will have direct aisle access. The airline said that the lie-flat beds will be available only on its Airbus A330 aircrafts. The airline also indicated that that it will not be providing business class cabins on its Boeing 757 flights.

Aer Lingus said that the new cabin for business class customers will be featuring 16-inch touchscreen for personal in-flight entertainment. The passengers will be entertained with nearly 90 hours of TV shows, new movies and 1,000 albums. The state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment will now bring the airline at par with leading international airlines offering long-haul flights.

The airline will adopt the concept “You Never Go Hungry” for its premium customers on new A330 flights. The passengers will be offered on-demand wine and gourmet food.

Apart from these, Aer Lingus will be offering many other amenities to its privileged customers. The passengers will be offered free Wi-Fi, USB power outlets, custom storage for laptops, coats and shoes, amenity kit which will double as an iPad case, noise cancelling headphones, and pre-boarding night-time dining services at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Boston’s General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport.
