Aeromexico launches Daily Nonstop Flights on MTY-IAH route

Aeromexico launched the new nonstop service between Monterrey and Houston when the first flight landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) on November 3.

Departing from Monterrey (MTY) at 7.00 am, the first flight arrived at IAH at 8:27 a.m. (CST). The flight was welcomed with the customary water cannon salute by the Regional Sales Director Carlos Gutierrez, Aeromexico VP of North America Sales Oscar Mejia and Houston Aviation Director Mario C. Diaz. The representatives from the Houston Consulate General of Mexico, the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Greater Houston Partnership were also present during the inaugural flight arrival.
 
Diaz expressed delight on the launch of this new nonstop service and said that this new connection offered by Aeromexico will strengthen Monterrey and Houston’s cultural and business relations. He also stated that Monterrey is the business center of Mexico while Houston is acclaimed as the ‘Energy Capital of the World’. Hence, strong air connectivity is the main element to provide endless possibilities to expand the partnership in the future.
 
Mejia also shared his views and said that the airline restates its goal of better connectivity in the Texan city with the launch of this new service. The addition of this new route with low airfares makes Houston one of most important leisure and business destinations in the United States for the airline.
 
Aeromexico is Mexico’s global airline celebrating its 80th anniversary. The airline offers nearly 300 daily flights from Monterrey International Airport and more than 600 daily flights from the main hub at Mexico City International Airport.
 
Service will be available twice in a day. The MTY-IAH flight departs from Monterrey at 7 am and arrives in Houston at 8.27 am from Monday-Saturday. The evening flight departing at 5.10 pm and arriving at 6.37 pm operates from Monday through Friday and Sunday. Another flight operates on Saturdays which leaves from Monterrey at 3.05 pm and arrives in Houston at 6.37 pm.
