Aeromexico Mexico City-Santiago de Chile flight frequency to increase

Aeromexico recently announced that it will introduce more flights to Santiago de Chile from Mexico City this month.

The airline said that it will include two additional weekly rotations starting September 18, 2011 to its upgraded Northern Winter schedules. Aeromexico is currently operating four flights every week on Mexico City-Santiago de Chile route.

Besides Aeromexico, LAN Chile is another major airline serving on this route. LAN Chile currently carries around 37,000 passengers, which is more than double carried by Aeromexico. According to reports, the passenger traffic on the route has increased 14.7% on previous 12 month period after consecutively two years of decline.
