Aeromexico to add more flights this summer

Aeromexico, the flag carrier of Mexico, has recently announced to add 100 weekly flights in its domestic and international routes this July.

The increase in flights will result in addition of 3,000 seats for domestic routes and over 2,000 seats for international routes. The airline’s domestic routes from Mexico will include Merida, Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, Huatulco, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Cancun, and Oaxaca. While, the international routes to important US cities include San Antonio, Orlando, and Miami.

The Mexican city, Cancun is the most important tourist destination. This place will yield maximum number of passengers. Hence, the airline has decided to add four daily flights to this destination. On the other hand six weekly flights will be added to Monterrey, an industrial city in north eastern Mexico.

The carrier has also announced for an increase in service on international routes such as Rio de Janeiro, Madrid, London, Tokyo, and Shanghai. This will increase the airline’s network and provide greater connectivity for Mexico.

Earlier this month, Aeromexico has opted for Panasonic Avionics the Wi-Fi Internet provider. The broadband provider gives Wi-Fi Internet connectivity through Ku-band satellite. The airline has selected this Wi-Fi service to nine of its new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircrafts.

The Dreamliner in its business class cabin will use 16 inch Elite HD Panasonic screens and Panasonic in-flight entertainment system. The economy class cabin will have Eco Monitor Touch Screens. The aircraft will also have real time fight information through moving map. In addition, passengers can listen to music using Jukebox and send text messages using Panasonic’s SeatChat. The Jukebox application can be customized by passengers to create playlist from the exclusive 1,500 songs preloaded in the system.

Aeromaxico the most important airline of Mexico has commenced its operations from 1972. The airline is headquartered in Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City. The carrier provides domestic and international flights to Asia, Europe, Caribbean, and America.
