Agritech West Africa 2011 - First ever agribusiness event in Accra

Agritec West Africa 2011, the first ever agribusiness event in West Africa, will be held from May 10-12, 2011, at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. Over the past few years, the globalization trend and high volume of international and local investments has placed Accra at par with some of the rich cities of the world. Keeping in view the growing importance of this city as a business destination, Accra has been chosen as the perfect venue to host the inaugural agribusiness exhibition and conference. Business travelers from across the world planning to visit Accra to attend the event can now find it easier with frequent flights into Ghana. Delta Airlines flies nonstop from New York City to Accra. Flights to Accra are long, almost 11 hours. It is best to take business class flights to Accra and travel in comfort. Visitors from the US, China, South Africa, Brazil, Denmark, Spain and several other countries have shown a keen interest in the event and likely to attend it in large numbers.

The agribusiness event will be featuring scientific advancement in crop cultivation, farming machinery, horticulture, agriculture, irrigation system, food processing and packaging, and other similar activities. Considering this as an excellent business opportunity, international vendors of agricultural and horticultural equipment, systems and technologies from European countries can also think of booking their air tickets through other airlines such as British Airways, Lufthansa and KLM that offer multiple flights into Accra via London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Business travelers can also look forward to book business class seats and travel at cheap rates as these airlines also offer lucrative discount on business tickets to Accra. A large number of trade visitors including Food Processors & Packers, Research Heads, Government Officials, CEOs/Industry Executives, Entrepreneurs, Consultants, Technology Providers, Bulk Buyers, and several others, are also expected to attend this interesting tradeshow.

Agritec West Africa 2011 will be hosting several country pavilions, thus providing a perfect platform to create a strong network between West African visitors and leading international manufacturers and suppliers. The event also aims to increase awareness about the importance of agriculture among West African farmers and encourage them to produce large-scale commercial output in order to give a boost to the agribusiness sector. The tradeshow will be hosting many exhibitors who will be showcasing their latest products and services such as horticultural equipment systems and technologies; beverages & bakery products and technologies; food essence and colors and technologies; and many more. Besides being the showcase of new technologies, the event will prove to be beneficial with the wide-ranging discussions on issues being currently faced by the agricultural industry.
