Air Canada launching flights on Toronto-Dubai route Nov 3

Air Canada recently announced it will be launching nonstop flights to Dubai from Toronto effective from November 3, 2015. The flights between the two cities will be operated thrice weekly.

This will be the airline’s first direct flights services to the UAE. A spokesperson of the airline in a statement said that the aim to launch the flights on Toronto-Dubai route will enable the customers get seamless and convenient travel options for travel between the Middle East and North America.

The airline will be deploying a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to operate flights on the new route. The aircraft will be configured in three cabins, including a premium economy cabin as well. The customers traveling in business class will be offered lie-flat seats. The aircraft will also be equipped with a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system.

With the launch of the new flights, Air Canada will be offering stiff competition to leading Middle East carrier Emirates Airline, which is presently providing direct flights services between Dubai International Airport and Toronto’s Pearson International Airport thrice weekly. The flights on the route are being operated with the help of an Airbus A380 aircraft.

Providing the flight schedule about the new route, the airline said that the flights will depart from Toronto thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while the return flights will make its departure from Dubai on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Air Canada is presently into joint venture with Lufthansa and serving the region from Munich and Frankfurt. The airline is also into codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways and is serving Toronto-Abu Dhabi route with thrice weekly flights services.
