Here’s glad tiding for Australian customers booking business class flights on Air Canada. Aussie fliers are in for a treat now beginning May 2016. Air Canada has recently unveiled its new business class seats on Boeing 777-200LR aircrafts. The airline will be launching the revamped seats on its flights to Vancouver from Sydney starting from May 16 this year.
The launch of the seats in premium cabin comes ahead of the debut of Boeing 787 aircraft on Brisbane-Vancouver route. Air Canada will also be launching new fully-flat business class ‘Executive Pods’ on Brisbane-Vancouver route from June this year.
A spokesperson of Air Canada said that the new business class cabin on Boeing 777-200LR aircrafts are configured in 1-2-1 layout. The premium customers would be offered a fully-flat bed with direct aisle access. Get ready for a slightly ‘private jet’-like experience while seated at the front of the main cabin. The new business class cabins offer many amenities such as storage space, noise-canceling headphones and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system.
Meanwhile, Air Canada had started offering its business class customers access to a new dedicated Business Class Check-in area at Toronto Pearson airport beginning January 21, 2016. The dedicated concourse is also available to customers holding select Premium status.
Apart from Business Class Check-in, a series of innovative changes have also been introduced by Air Canada for its premium customers. These wide ranging changes include next-generation lie-flat suites in International Business Class, new cabin interiors on wide-body fleet, enhanced check-in and boarding, new meals for customers in the Maple Leaf Lounges and International Business Class, revamped Maple Leaf Lounges, a new Premium Economy cabin, and upgraded Altitude frequent flyer program. Moreover, Air Canada also announced that it is planning to enhance priority check-in for its business class customers in Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver.
