Air Canada Rogue to add more comfort, space to business class

Discount leisure carrier Air Canada Rogue has decided to provide more comfort and space to its customers traveling on business class flights. The airline, which is a subsidiary of Canada’s flagship carrier Air Canada, has said that will be removing the middle row of seating at the front of its aircraft from June this year.

A spokesperson of Air Canada Rogue said that its premium cabin up front will now be provided a feel as though one is traveling in first class. The middle seat on each side will be removed and almost one-third more carry-on space will be added. This will make the premium business class cabin more comfortable and spacious than before.

Air Canada Rogue said that it will be converting its fleet of 20 Airbus A319 aircrafts into a new configuration which will see the middle seat on each side in the first three aisles being removed. The two remaining seats with thus be widened more with its removal. The airline said that the space created by the removal of middle seat will be used for providing a coat hook at every seat, a pop-out cocktail tray between the two seats, and an entertainment console with a USB port and charger.
 
Benjamin Smith, Air Canada's President of Passenger Airlines, said, “Air Canada is always concerned about its customers and gives priority to their demands. The company is delighted to make investments in business class in the Air Canada Rogue fleet. The airline will increase carry-on space by 30 percent by installing new overhead bin doors and make the premium cabin more spacious. The upgrades will start taking place this summer.”

Air Canada Rogue was launched in July 2013. The airline initially started off with two aircrafts but has grown in the past two years and now owns 31 aircrafts in its fleet. The airline is presently offering flights services to 50 leisure destinations on 68 routes in the United States, the Caribbean, Canada, South America, Asia, Mexico and Europe.
