Air Canada Rouge launches Toronto-Orlando flights

Air Canada rouge recently launched service to Orlando. The low-cost wing of the Canadian flagship carrier Air Canada commenced service between Toronto and Orlando. These flights will operate round the year and will initially fly on thrice a day basis.

The airline will offer passengers yet another chance to book cheap airfares to travel from Canada to the bustling city in Florida. Initially it has three daily departures. These numbers will increase to five beginning December 14, 2013. However, it aims at offering six flights a day from March 1, next year. With the service in 2013, the airline will become the one to offer highest number of flights between the city pair. So far, no other Canadian airline offers as many flights on this route.

The airline will use the services of Airbus A319 aircraft to operate this route. The airline will also make available the Premium rouge service. It intends to launch this service to other rouge destinations across the United States, Caribbean, and Mexico in the near future. It is also set to launch Montreal-Orlando route from February 15, 2014.

The A319 aircrafts have been retrofitted on some of the airline’s route. Passengers will be able to enjoy the services between these cities. These planes comprise a seating capacity for 136 passengers. Of these 136 seats, 12 belong to the Premium rouge in the first three rows. These seats are 35 inch wide and have 5 inch recline. The middle seats are blocked to grant more space and complimentary entertainment including iPads, meals, and beverages are offered to passengers flying on these seats. These passengers can also access Maple Leaf Lounge, get priority check in, security and boarding.
