Air Canada to launch B787-9 flights on Toronto-Delhi route Nov 1

Air Canada recently announced it will be increasing the frequencies of its Boeing 787-9 flights to Delhi from Toronto from October 2016. The airline is presently offering four-times weekly service, which will become daily in Q4 next year.

The airline in a statement said that it would be deploying its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft for operating flights between Delhi and Toronto effective from November 1, 2015. The airline will be conducting four-times weekly flights on the route. The aircraft is configured with three classes – First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. However, the airline had initially planned to offer only thrice weekly services instead of four-times weekly flights.

A spokesperson of Air Canada while providing the flight schedule said that the outbound flight AC050 would depart from Toronto at 20:55 hours and arrive in Delhi at 21:15 hours the following day. The service will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The inbound flight AC051 would depart from Delhi at 00:45 hours and reach Toronto at 05:00 hours the same day. The return flights would be operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.  The Toronto-Delhi service will later on become daily starting from October 30, 2016.

Benjamin Smith, President of Air Canada, said, “The nonstop Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service being launched between Toronto and Delhi has been well received. The response of the customers has been quite overwhelming and indeed very positive. The airline has always wanted to grow its Toronto Pearson hub and would continue to further expand its international presence after taking the delivery of more Boeing 787 Dreamliners.”
