Air China and others expand service from North America to China

China is fast becoming a popular destination for various airlines from North America. The Asian country is home to some prominent world cities including Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Beijing. These cities are also seats to numerous business concerns and serve as important financial centers. The rate at which trade between popular gateways in North America and China is increasing, airlines are leaving no stone unturned to capitalize the opportunity.

Air China is all set to launch direct flights between Washington D.C. and Beijing. Beginning June 10, 2014, Air China will offer airline tickets to passengers to fly conveniently between these two capital cities. These flights will operate on four-times-a-week basis on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The airline will use the services of Boeing 777-300ER planes to ply on this international sector.

Besides, China Eastern Airlines, the Shanghai based carrier is also gearing to boost its frequency between New York and Shanghai. The airline will increase the frequency of its nonstop flights on this route during the peak summer season to accommodate the mounting passenger traffic from June 25, 2014 to August 18, 2014. Additional flights will operate separately on each Monday, Thursday, and Saturday and will not be a part of the daily service between the city pair .

On the other hand, China Southern Airlines is preparing to launch nonstop service between New York and Guangzhou. This new service will begin from August 6, 2014 and will operate on four-times-weekly basis. Flights between these two cities will be available on Boeing 777-300ER planes.
