Air China starts Beijing-Newark Liberty Dreamliner flight Dec 2

Air China has announced it will be replacing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on its Beijing-Newark Liberty route from December this year. Media reports said that the airline’s flights CA819 and CA320 would start conducting flight services with the help of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft effective from December 2. The aircraft will be featuring three travel classes - Economy Class, Premium Economy and Business Class. The Dreamliner route will be served with thrice weekly flights, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The new flight schedule issued by the airline said that Flight CA819 will depart from Beijing at 11:05 hours and arrive in Newark Liberty at 11:25 hour local time. The return Flight CA820 will depart from Newark Liberty at 13:25 hours and arrive in Beijing at 16:10 hour local time following day.

According to the reports, Air China will for the first time introduce a Premium Economy cabin with 34 seats. The First Class cabin with eight seats is being dropped in the Dreamliner, which is being currently offered on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The seating capacity in Business Class cabin on Dreamliner is also being dropped to 30, instead of the 42 business class seats being currently offered in B777-300ER. The capacity in Economy Class on Dreamliner is also being reduced to 229 seats when compared to 261 economy class seats in Boeing 777-300ER. The customers booking business class tickets for travel in either of the aircrafts are offered fully flat seats, but the seat products vary and are quite different.

Apart from New York’s Newark Liberty International Airport, Air China is also conducting flight operations to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport as well. Air China in a statement said that it is going to change the schedule on Beijing-New York JFK route starting from October 29, 2017. The route is being served utilizing a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 5-times per week service. The timing of CA989 flights with 09:00 hour morning departure from Beijing will be switched to a late evening departure at 23:25 hour. The flight will now arrive in New York JFK at 22:55 hour same evening instead of 10:20 hour same morning arrival. The timing of Flight CA990 from New York JFK has also been changed. The return flight will now depart from New York JFK early morning at 02:30 hour and arrive in Beijing at 05:20 hour following morning, instead of the present 12:50 hour departure and 14:15 arrival next day.
