Air China to introduce B777-300ER on San Francisco-Beijing route

Air China has announced it will introduce a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for flights between San Francisco and Beijing to be offered daily from February next year. The airline indicated that it is all set to start flights on Beijing-San Francisco route from February 11, 2014 with the help of new 311-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The new aircraft, which is configured in three classes, will replace the existing Boeing 747-400 aircraft being utilized on the daily trans-Pacific service.

Air China is also operating flights on Los Angeles-Houston and Beijing-New York routes with the help of its new Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. A similar aircraft has also been deployed to provide service on Sydney route. Media reports said that Air China has for long been contemplating to replace its existing Boeing 747-400 aircrafts with the more fuel-efficient Boeing 777-300ER as well as Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental aircrafts.
 
According to Air China, the new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft comes with a host of features. The airline said that the customers would be provided travel in three classes – First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. The customers would be offered flat-bed seats in first and business class cabins. For those traveling on business class tickets, there’s more surprise in store. The customers will get opportunity to travel in a huge single business class cabin as opposed to two or three compartments in business class in other airlines. The business class travelers would be offered several privileges, such as blanket, pillow, amenity kit, hot towels, personal widescreen monitors for entertainment, complimentary meals and beverages, and a wide choice of wines and champagne, among others.
