Air China to introduce its first B777-300ER aircraft on Los Angeles-Beijing route Feb 1

Air China recently announced that it will be introducing its first B777-300ER aircraft on Los Angeles-Beijing route from February 1, 2012.

This will also make Los Angeles, Air China’s first US gateway where the environmentally-friendly, cleaner and fuel-efficient B777-300ER aircraft is being deployed.

Air China in a statement said that the new B777-300ER aircraft is environment-friendly and delivers better fuel performance. Besides being much quieter than other aircraft, the B777-300ER has been exquisitely designed with its ceiling, overhead carry-on compartments and sculpted side walls creating a feeling of space and openness.

Providing further details about the aircraft, the airline stated that the cabin is configured with 8 Forbidden Pavilion first class luxury suites, 41 fully flat Capital Pavilion business class seats and 259 economy class seats. A wide range of audio and video on demand (AVOD) program and 3D Airshow is also available for the passengers. The three cabins also have personal power outlets facilities.

The airline disclosed that the new state-of-the-art B777-300ER aircraft will be introduced on the night flight – CA984/CA983 – between Los Angeles and Beijing.

Earlier, Air China doubled its daily flights to Beijing from Los Angeles on September 1, 2011. Air China is also the only carrier to provide nonstop flights to Beijing from Los Angeles.
