Air France has acquired a new Airbus A320 aircraft to operate flights on its Caribbean regional network. The aircraft is configured with a total of 168 seats. The business class cabin will be equipped with 12 seats, while the economy class will offer 156 seats. The newly redesigned economy class cabin will have 10 additional seats, thus increasing the capacity by 6 percent.
French national carrier has launched completely redesigned seats on its Caribbean regional network on similar lines of its European medium-haul network. The high-quality leather seats offered in both classes have been designed for a luxurious travel experience. The interiors have been tastefully decorated with fabulous color scheme and warm lighting providing a cosy atmosphere in the cabins.
The customers are promised travel in absolute tranquility with 20-degrees-reclining seat back isolating it from row of seats behind, and enhancing the overall travel experience in the process. Among other features of the new seat include fully retractable central armrests merging into the seat, adjustable headrest, a personal tray table, glass holder and peg. The seats are quite spacious and totally ergonomic. The customers traveling in economy class will be allowed to carry a free baggage and an accessory in the cabin totaling 12 kg. They will also be allowed a free checked baggage weighing up to 23 kg.
Apart from the economy class, the customers boarding flights in business class cabin would be offered privacy with only four seats across. The middle seat in the cabin would be left empty for optimum comfort and peace. The cushy business class seat also has an adjustable headrest. The premium customers will also be offered complimentary gourmet cuisines and newspapers. The business class customers will however be allowed to carry two pieces of baggage along with an accessory totaling 18 kg in the cabin. They will also be permitted two free checked-in baggage, each weighing 32 kg. The customers are also offered the advantages of priority boarding and disembarking.
Air France currently operates flights to various destinations on its Caribbean regional network. These destinations include Port au Prince, Cayenne, Fort de France, Pointe à Pitre and Miami. The airline operates above 30 weekly flights to these destinations. Air France has since 2015 been providing services to seven new destinations on the Caribbean regional network, including Dominica, St. Barthelemy, St. Maarten Juliana, St. Maarten Grand Case, Santo Domingo, San Juan and Saint Lucia.
