Air France to introduce 3 new routes from Marseille starting March 25

Air France recently announced that it will launch 3 new routes from Marseille starting March 25, 2012. Besides, the airline has also decided to increase frequencies to some destinations.

Air France said that the three new routes to be launched from Marseille include Venice, Hamburg and Barcelona. The airline will offer 5 weekly flights to Venice, 4 weekly flights to Hamburg and 2 weekly flights to Barcelona. Besides, the airline also said that it will again start operating 2 daily flights between Marseille and Rome.

Bookings are already on for these destinations, and the passengers can book flights to Venice, Hamburg or Barcelona whenever they want to.

According to the airline, the new service to Marseille was introduced on October 2, 2011, and has so far been proving to be a success. Currently, 30 destinations are already being served directly from Marseille Province by the airline.

Air France has also announced the increasing of frequencies to several destinations over the 2011 winter. According to the new schedule, Algiers will now be served with 2 additional winter flights, thus bringing the total to 5 weekly flights. Biarritz, Copenhagen and Prague will be served with 1 additional flight each. These 3 destinations will be served with a total of 3 weekly flights each. Nantes will be served with 2 additional flights, thus bringing it to a total of 24 weekly flights.

The airline further disclosed in a statement that about 500 weekly flights to 33 destinations in France, Europe and the Mediterranean will be served directly from Marseille in the summer of 2012.
