Air Jamaica resumes flights to Miami

Air Jamaica recently announced to resumes its direct flights to Miami in time for the peak Christmas season. The airline resumed their flights from December 9, 2011.

Air Jamaica, which is operated by Caribbean Airlines, said that it will operate four-time weekly service on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The flight services were started well in time to cope with the rush during the peak Christmas season. By restarting this service, the airline is now offering more travel options for passengers to board flights to/from North America.

Robert Corbie, CEO of Caribbean Airlines, said that the starting of direct flights to Miami International Airport by Air Jamaica now offers better connectivity to North America, thus providing the passengers more travel options to and from Florida from Jamaica.

Besides Miami, Air Jamaica is currently operating flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida’s major cities.

Air Jamaica in a statement said that it will operate its nonstop flights to Miami from December 9, 2011 up till January 2012 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The airline further said that the return flights will operate from January 9, 2012 to January 30, 2012 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Air Jamaica further said that it will start daily flights to Miami from February 1, 2012.
