Air New Zealand To Auction Its Business Class Seats

Air New Zealand, the national airline and flag carrier of New Zealand has decided to put its unsold long haul seats for auction. This decision of the airlines aims at generating revenue on unsold premium economy and business class seats.

The airlines in its newly launched OneUp program offers biding options to its passengers, wherein they can bid for an upgrade from economy and first class tickets to first and business class tickets respectively. Passengers traveling to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Beijing or Shanghai from New Zealand can avail this offer.

Passengers who have already bought their tickets directly through the airlines i.e. either through their website, customer support centre or holiday stores may receive an email, calling them to bid for the next cabin class upgrade.
