Air New Zealand to offer extra flights to Los Angeles in 2015

Air New Zealand recently announced it is planning to offer additional flights Los Angeles and Vancouver from 2015. The extra flights to be operated from Auckland are aimed at fulfilling the growing seasonal demand of travelers for travel to the two destinations.

The airline is presently operating flights between Auckland and Los Angeles twice daily. New Zealand’s national carrier indicated that it will be adding a third flight on Auckland-Los Angeles route considering the easy of accessibility to the northern hemisphere where the summer season runs from April to October 2015. The third flight on the route will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

A spokesperson of Air New Zealand said that the new services on Auckland-Los Angeles route will boost the overall capacity by 20 percent. The additional flights to Los Angeles would now be departing from Auckland earlier than the existing daily services. The new flight will reach Los Angeles at around 0900 hours thus making same-day connections to various destinations in the United States possible than before.

Travelers from Australia are also expected to find the new flights to be convenient and competitive. The earlier departure time of the outbound flights will allow Australian customers connect easily from Sydney and Melbourne. The return flight would be reaching Auckland at 0700 hours in time to enable the customers connect with the flights back across the Tasman Sea.

Air New Zealand will also be increasing the capacity on its Auckland-Vancouver route by 10 percent from next year. The airline will be operating five flights every week from the existing thrice weekly service from June to September 2015.
