Air Pacific to roll out new business class seats for Airbus A330s

Air Pacific recently announced it will be rolling out new business class seats and inflight entertainment systems on its three new Airbus A330s taking to the skies from June 2013.

The airline has decided to hire Panasonic Avionics and Weber Aircraft to design the seats and install inflight entertainment systems.

Passengers taking Air Pacific business class flights will be able to enjoy a new angled lie-flatbed at the pointy end of the Airbus A330, with Weber’s 7811 seat, similar to those on Virgin Australia’s new A330s.

The new business class seats will be equipped with inbuilt AC power and USB outlets, as well as a 15.4 inch LCD screen running Panasonic’s eX2 content-on demand system.

According to Air Pacific, the Economy Class cabin in Airbus A330 will be equipped with Weber’s slim-line model 5751, which has a 7.5 inch recline – comprising of a 6 inch back recline plus 1.5 inches of forward movement for the base. The seats will also be fitted with AC and USB sockets and a 9 inch Panasonic touchscreen.
