Airberlin launches new business class Wunderkind amenity kits

Germany’s second-largest carrier Airberlin has launched its new amenity kit for its premium customers. Airberlin, which is a partner of Virgin Australia, started offering the new ‘Wunderkind’ amenity kit to its customers travelling on business class flights on long-haul international routes. The amenity kit has been designed by the leading luxury fashion label Wunderkind.

Airberlin has dubbed the unisex kit as the ‘culture and hygiene bag’. The amenity kit is available in two styles. One uniquely-designed amenity kit is offered on outbound flights from Germany, while the second differently-styled amenity kit is offered to the business class customers on inbound flights.

A spokesperson of Airberlin said that though the two amenity kits are of different styles, but both of them contain essentials provided by Wunderkind, such as socks, ear plugs, a dental kit, a sleeping mask, facial moisturiser and lip balm. The washrooms for business class customers in the aircraft will also have Wunderkind-brand body lotion and gel hand soap for complementing the amenities provided to the premium flyers.

Airberlin had last year upgraded its long-haul aircrafts prominently featuring fully-flat beds. The new Wunderkind amenity kits being provided on board the flights are a part of the larger overhaul and aimed at offering luxurious business class experience.

Media reports said that Velocity Frequent Flyer members will be able to travel to Abu Dhabi with Virgin Australia or its partner Etihad Airways before making onward connections to Stuttgart, Berlin and Dusseldorf with Airberlin.
