Airberlin offers new Business Class Seats

As airberlin completes 35 years of operations, it has established an extensive network of numerous destinations and routes and is only spreading its wings with plans to improve its services. The comfort that the carrier offers to its economy class proclaims its success story. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, airberlin announced that the new business class will now be more plush. Airberlin is also the only German carrier to offer full flat seats in newly launched Business Class. The airberlin fleet is equipped with business class for long haul routes which also include U.S. routes.

Airberlin is providing better connectivity to business travelers with nonstop flights to Miami, Chicago, New York (JFK), Fort Meyers and Los Angeles (seasonal) from its current Berlin and Düsseldorf airports.

The business class at airberlin is equipped with full-flat seats designed by Sogerma. It will appoint three flight attendants to cater to 19 passengers, the maximum seat capacity it offers in this category. The seats are positioned in a 1-2-1 configuration to provide ample space, individual seating with maximum privacy. The 1-2-1 configuration gives the passengers unhindered access to the aisle. The new seats when reclined horizontally offer a six feet long bed. The seats are also adjustable to certain angles between upright and fully reclined for the comfort of the passengers. An inbuilt massaging system is yet another impressive feature of the new seats.

The in-flight dining menu features food menu and wines from Sansibar, the much acclaimed Michelin star restaurant. Passengers traveling under this seat classification are allowed to carry two baggage items weighing up to 70 pounds each and another hand baggage weighing up to 17 pounds free of charge.

Passengers are offered to use the partner lounges and exclusive waiting areas which are especially designed for VIP passengers. Vienna played host to the first exclusive waiting area outside Germany this year. On long-haul flights, the guests are offered one of four different versions of amenity kits depending upon the destination.
