German carrier Airberlin has entered into partnership with New York-based LCC JetBlue Airways aimned at offering connecting flights services to 31 destinations in the United States. The JetBlue-operated connecting flights would be mostly from Orlando, Massachusetts, Boston and New York JFK.
Media reports said that the customers traveling to the U.S. on Airberlin would now get opportunity to book connecting flights operated by JetBlue Airways. The connecting flights to be operated from New York JFK would be to Tampa, Raleigh/Durham, Jacksonville, Syracuse, Santiago, San Juan, San Francisco, Santo Domingo, Fort Myers, Rochester, Portland, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Charleston, Buffalo, Bridgetown and Bermuda.
Similarly, for those traveling from Boston would be able to book connecting flights to various U.S. destinations, including San Francisco, Raleigh/Durham, Philadelphia, Orlando, New York La Guardia, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Fort Lauderdale, Newark Liberty, Denver, Washington National, Baltimore, Buffalo, Atlanta and Boston. However, the customers traveling from Orlando would be offered connecting flights to New York La Guardia, New York JFK, White Plains, Newark Liberty, Washington National and Boston.

Moreover, the partnership stands to benefit the customers of Airberlin immensely because of the availability of multiple transfer connections at New York JFK particularly, which also happens to be a main hub for JetBlue Airways.”
It may be noted that Airberlin is presently operating twice daily flights from Dusseldorf to New York JFK. The airline also offers once daily flights from Berlin Tegel to New York JFK as well. The partnership between Airberlin and JetBlue Airways would also include frequent flyer programs soon offering Airberlin’s Topbonus frequent flyer program members to earn miles on JetBlue Airways-operated flights too.
