Airlines presented with best amenity bags awards

The amenity bags presented to the customers by various airlines world over act as favorite souvenirs. Whether you are traveling in First Class, Business Class or Economy Class, these amenity bags are adorable and treasured. The bags serve as a gadget bag or a compact toiletries kit. Recently, the 2014 Airline Amenity Bag Awards was presented to the airlines for the most stylish amenity bags. The bags were not adjudged for their content but for their exclusive, stylish designs. These amenity bags came from luxe brand names such as Loewe, Bvlgari and Salvatore.
 
This year many airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Oman Air, Garuda Indonesia, Emirates Airline, Alitalia and Aeroflot were presented with awards for their stylish amenity bags. Singapore Airlines was presented with the “Best Female First Class Bag”. The award for “Best Male First Class Bag” was given to Oman Air. Indonesia’s national carrier Garuda Indonesia bagged two awards. The airline was presented with “Best Unisex First Class Bag” and “Best Unisex Business Class Bag (Asia-Oceania)”.
 
Airlines such as Emirates and Alitalia also bagged two awards each. Emirates Airline was presented “Best Female Business Class Bag (Middle East)” and “Best Male Business Class Bag (Middle East)”. Similarly, Alitalia was presented with “Best Female Business Class Bag (Europe-Africa)” and “Best Male Business Class Bag (Europe-Africa)”. Russia’s flag carrier Aeroflot was presented “Best Unisex Business Class Bag (Europe-Africa)”.

Etihad Airways received special appreciation for the best ‘ethnically sustainable’ bag. The amenity bag was created by Sougha and was launched recently. Sougha is a social enterprise initiative aiming at promoting local artisans and preserving Emirati traditions.

Etihad Airways will be offering the new amenity kits to its customers traveling in Coral Economy cabins, Pearl Business Class and Diamond First Class. These kits have been exquisitely designed featuring patterns of Sadou. This centuries-old weaving craft of Abu Dhabi is intricate and colorful.
