Airlines ramp up business class service to offer best experience

In this age of cut-throat competition in the aviation industry, air travelers are a pampered lot, particularly premium flyers. They surely never had it before and would now be left asking for more and more. Several international airlines are stifly competing with each other and trying to outwit in every possible way by offering the best services in business class, both on the ground and 30,000 feet above in the air.

A recent study said that international carriers are leaving no stone unturned in ramping up their business class service. They are trying every trick in their game of oneupmanship such as changing cabin configurations, hiring world-class chefs, collaborating with tectile designers and installing state-of-the-art seats to set themselves apart. Let''s take a look at how some of the international airlines are distinguishing themselves by showcasing the best of the best in business class according to the studies.

Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines started operations in 1933 with only five aircrafts in its fleet. It has now become a four-star airline and owns an impressive fleet oif 276 aircrafts offering flights services to around 265 destinations around the world. The airline''s business class have been awarded several times in various categories. The airline boasts of best business class seat in the aviation industry today. Its business class seats can be fully converted into 75-inch-long lie-flat beds and are equipped with an ottoman, a massage feature and a multi-function control. The airline''s “”Flying Chefs”” are renowned for preparing award-winning menus on long-haul international flights. Turkish Airlines is offering business class on its Boeing 777, Boeing 737-800, Airbus A340 and Airbus A330 aircrafts on international routes.

Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines offers business class on all its Airbus A330 aircrafts serving long-haul international routes. The airline is renowned for offering ultimate relaxation and quality service to its premium customers in business class cabins. The premium flyers are offered luxurious lie-flat beds equipped with integrated massage functions. The airline also offers a revolutionary in-flight entertainment system with 15.3 inch touch-screen, which is said to be one of the largest being currently offered in business class. Belgian Star Chefs menu has also been introduced by the airline on its long-haul international flights.

Air Tahiti Nui

Air Tahiti Nui is a small airline in size and the limited routes it is currently operating. However, it shouldn''t mean that a small airline isn''t capable of providing quality service and amenities in its business class. The airline has proved its rival wrong by offering the best services in its revamped Poerava Business Class. The premium flyers are welcomed onboard with the airline''s fabled Tahitian hospitality. The business class seats are though not fully lie-flat, but they are surely luxurious. The seats expand to a 160-degree-angle and have a multi-point seat adjustment control. The passengers are also offered delectable French-inspired cuisines that are complemented with a wide selection of fine wines and spirits.

Finnair

Finnair has recently completed the revamp of its business class and and announced it will be introducing its new Airbus A350 XWB aircraft during fall 2015. The airline''s newly revamped business class cabins will be offering fully flat beds. The premium customers will also be offered mood lighting, personal reading lights and a wide choice of in-flight entertainment options. The airline has also tied up with chefs from top Finnish restaurants and would be offering different signature menus on long-haul international flights from Helsinki through spring 2016. The airline will also be serving a uniqye Christmas cuisine and special menus as well.

LAN Airlines

LAN Airlines has created a new Premium Business Class after merging its first class and business class in 2006. The Premium Business Class is now being offered on its Boeing 767-300 and Boeing 787-800/900 Dreamliner aircrafts. The business class cabin is equipped with luxurious 180-degree lie-flat beds, a memory system that records seat position, a lumbar massage feature, and state-of-the-art entertainment system with a wide selection of TV programs, music and films to be watched on a high-resolution 15.4-inch screen. LAN Airlines also provides delicious cuisines and regularly updates its wine selection offering some of the region''s best wines.
