Alaska Airlines celebrates Portland-Dallas route with cheap fares

Alaska Airlines recently launched its direct daily service between Portland and Dallas/Fort Worth. Its maiden flight between the two cities took off on September 16, 2013. The Seattle based airline along with the service launched cheap one-way fares to celebrate its expansion.

The airline is giving its passengers an option to travel on cheap flights between September 30 and November 20, 2013. As per the schedule, the airline will depart Portland at 10:15 am and arrive in Dallas/Fort Worth at 4:04 pm. The return flight is set to depart Dallas/Fort Worth at 5:00 pm and arrive in Portland at 7:00 pm approximately.

The airline has been widening its reach and launched eight nonstop routes in the last one year. Since June 2012, it has commenced service from Portland to Atlanta, Washington D.C., Kauai in Hawaii, Fairbanks, Bozeman, Pasco, and Santa Barbara.

The airline was recently named as the most fuel-efficient airline operating in the United States. Its innovative measures have helped it emit less greenhouse gases and hence extend its service towards the environment. It was found to be 26 percent more fuel-efficient than its other counterparts were.

At present, the carrier flies to about 95 destinations across the United States, Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico. It is looking forward to connect various other cities in the future.
