Alaska Airlines daily flights to Lihue, Kona from March 2012

Alaska Airlines recently announced that it will start daily, nonstop flights to Kona and Lihue from San Jose, Calif. and Oakland from next year.

With the launch of these flights, airline aims to double its flight services from Bay Area in California to Kauai as well as the Big Island. The airline plans to operate flights on all 7 days of the week.

The airline said that it will be expanding the service starting from March 12, 2012. To mark the inaugural flights, Alaska Airlines has decided to offer one-way introductory fares at US$179.

The customers should purchase air tickets latest by September 3, 2011 to avail this offer. The travel period starts from March 12 up till June 9, 2012. 

Earlier, the airline had introduced flights to Lihue last year with the operations of 3 flights per week from San Jose and 4 flights per week from Oakland.

Alaska Airlines is currently operating 3 flights per week from Oakland to Kona and 4 flights per week from San Jose to Kona.
