Alaska Airlines help increase Santa Rosa traffic by 6% in October

Alaska Airlines recently announced that its flights services have performed well at Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa in the month of October this year and helped increase the traffic at the airport.

The airline in a statement said that the passenger traffic at Santa Rosa’s Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport increased by nearly 6 percent in October 2012 as compared to the same month last year.

Seattle-based Alaska Airlines is the only commercial carrier operating out of the airport. The airline revealed that it carried a total of 19,813 passengers to/from the airport in October this year.

In September this year, the airline had carried a total of 19,348 passengers to/from the airport. The airline stated that there has been a 5.9 percent improvement in passenger traffic to/from the airport from a year before.

Currently, Alaska Airlines operates five daily flights to San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland from Santa Rosa through its subsidiary Horizon Air.

Alaska Airlines launched flights services between Santa Rosa and San Diego in June this year, after replacing the service between Sonoma County and Las Vegas.
