Alaska Airlines launching San Diego-Kauai flights next year

Alaska Airlines recently announced it will be launching daily flights services between Kauai and San Diego next year. The airline is making extensive efforts to expand its flight network in the Hawaii market while focusing on the neighbor islands.

The airline in a statement said that it will launch its flights on Kauai-San Diego route starting from June 7, 2013. The airline will be operating daily flights services on this route until August 24, 2013. However, the frequency would be changed to four days every week later on.

To celebrate the launch on the new Kauai-San Diego route, Alaska Airlines is offering cheap tickets starting at $209 one-way. The introductory fares are available for booking latest by November 23, 2012. This offer can be availed for travel through July 18, 2013.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority disclosed that the Kauai-San Diego route is expected to generate $41 million in visitor spending as well as $4.5 million tax revenue every year for the state.
