Alaska Airlines set to commence flights on Tampa-Seattle route

Alaska Airlines announced its decision to launch daily service to Tampa. The airline is all set to inaugurate the new operations between Seattle and Tampa beginning June 20, this year. The non-stop flights on this sector will accomplish Tampa International Airport’s desire to connect with the Pacific Northwest through a direct service.

Soon passengers will be able to book airline tickets on this route and travel with ease. This service will open new avenues for both leisure and business travelers. At present, it takes about seven to twelve hours for travelers to cover the distance between the city pair. This new service is all set to change the equation. Direct flights definitely help save travel time and cut down on unwarranted expenditures during the trip.

The airline will use the services of Boeing 737-800 plane to fly between the two cities. This plane comprises an overall seating capacity for 163 passengers. Of these 163 seats, 147 are available in economy class and the rest 16 seats are available in the business class.

As per the schedule, flights will depart Tampa at 6:30 pm each day and arrive in Seattle at 9:25 pm. Return flights will depart Tampa International Airport at 8:50 am and arrive in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 5:30 pm.

There are other airlines as well operating service on the route. As per the reports, about 320 passengers fly on this sector each day. The non-stop service will only give them another option to book direct flights with the airline and cover the distance in short time of approximately 5 hours and 55 minutes.
