Alaska Airlines to begin flights between Portland and Kauai Nov 5

Alaska Airlines flights to Hawaiian destinations continue to be expanded. The passengers will soon be able to book air tickets to Kauai in Hawaii Islands as the airline will launch flights in November this year.

The airline recently announced it is adding yet another route from the mainland to Hawaii Islands. Alaska Airlines in a statement said that it will begin a new route from Portland to Kauai starting from November 5, 2012. The flights will be operated four days per week.

Alaska Airlines is currently operating nonstop flights to Honolulu, Maui and Kona in Hawaii Islands from Portland.

According to the airline, the new flight will be seasonal, to be operated from November 2012 through April 2013. However, the airline has in the past converted seasonal flights to year-round connections whenever these flights have proved to be profitable.

The flights will depart from Portland at 10.40 am, arriving in Kauai at 3.05 pm. Return flights will leave Kauai at noon and arrive in Portland at 7.55 pm.
