Alaska Airlines traffic up by 9.4 percent in November

Alaska Airlines recently announced the sale of its air tickets in November 2012 was remarkable. The airline in a statement said that its passenger traffic increased by 9.4 percent last month.

Alaska Airlines disclosed that the growth in its passenger revenue miles (measured as one paying passenger flown one mile) matched the airline’s 9.4 percent increase in capacity this November as compared to the same month in 2011.

According to the airline, the 9.4 percent increase in passenger capacity translated to 86.4 percent of the seats on Alaska Airlines flights being filled in November this year. The airline reported the same percentage in capacity in November 2011.

 A spokesman of Alaska Airlines said that the on-time arrival percentage of the airline significantly improved to 87.3 percent this November from 84.8 percent in the same month a year ago.
 
Alaska’s regional subsidiary Horizon Air also reported improvement in its passenger traffic by 8.1 percent in November 2012 on a 7.9 percent capacity increase.
