Alitalia to launch new business class product on A330 and B777s

Italy's national carrier Alitalia has announced it will be launching its new business class cabins in the near future. The airline disclosed its plans during the launch of its new-look livery during the first week of June 2015.

Media reports said that the new business class product will also include Ferragamo amenity kits, Richard Ginori tableware and Frette bedding. The reports had earlier said that the key Etihad “Dine Anytime”service is now being offered to the airline's customers booking business class tickets. The customers will also be offered a new Spuntino snacks menu as well on board their flights.

According to the reports, the customers traveling in Alitalia's Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 flights would also be offered a turndown service. The Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 aircrafts would be prominently featuring lie-flat business class seats. The airline further stated that the customers would be offered a bedtime drink, and will also be offered pre-arranged wake-up and breakfast times as well. The airline will also progressively roll out a revamped state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system and Wi-Fi connectivity on all its long-haul aircrafts.

Ariodante Valeri, COO of Alitalia, said, “”The new-look business class cabin will have full-flat bed seats upholstered in new Poltrona Frau leather. The premium customers will be provided full-size pillows and large comforters by Frette, which is exclusive Italian bedding brand.  Richard Ginori has designed the tableware. The male and female amenity kits would be prominently featuring exclusive products by Salvatore Ferragamo.””
