All-business class La Compagnie makes maiden LON-NYC flight

La Compagnie, French boutique airline operating all-business class flights, recently conducted its maiden flight between London and New York on April 24, 2015. The inaugural flight after receiving the customary water salute at London Luton Airport departed for New York’s Newark Liberty International Airport in the late afternoon and reached later the same night.

Media reports said that the airline will initially be operating thrice weekly flights services between London Luton and Newark Liberty and will later on increase the frequencies up to six flights every week from June this year.

La Compagnie will operate business class flights services on the London Luton-Newark Liberty route with the help of a customized Boeing 757-200 aircraft which is configured with 74 lie-flat seats in a 2x2 configuration throughout a single aisle cabin. The customers will be able to keep themselves fully entertained with the individual Samsung Galaxy Pro 12” tablet offered to them on their seat backs, which can also be removed and used wirelessly on board the flights. The tablet will be loaded with an assortment of movies, music, e-books and magazines.
 
The in-flight meals to be offered to the customers have been created by famous French chef Christophe Langrée, who also had the distinction to serve as a chef of Hotel de Matignon. The airline will also be offering amenity kits, which will consist of cosmetic products from natural French skincare brand Caudalie.

La Compagnie has since July 2014 conducted more than 350 flights services to New York from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, and has carried over 15,000 passengers.
