Allegiant Air expanding service with focus on East Coast

The leisure-focused airline Allegiant Air has now changed tack. This time that airline has decided to shift its position by expanding its service, with a particular focus on the East Coast.

Allegiant Air, which is based at Las Vegas, will be adding service to 10 new airports thus increasing possibilities of cheap flights to the new destinations in future.

The new routes include two on the far edges of the New York metropolitan area. The airline will also be adding flights to Portsmouth, which is nearly an hour north of Boston.

Allegiant Air has so far been offering services to sunny vacation destinations from small, undeserved cities.  The airline carried those passengers who would usually refrain from flying with low fares and nonstop flights. The not only carried affluent passengers, but also aggressively pitched them rental cars, hotels, show tickets and other entertainment, thus earning millions in commissions.
 
With a clear shift in focus with the addition of 10 new routes, Allegiant Air will now be also targeting low-fare passengers. Allegiant Air will presently be serving 99 airports across the United States.
