Allegiant Air launches seasonal Los Angeles-Missoula flights

Allegiant Air recently launched its seasonal flights to Los Angeles from Missoula effective from June 4, 2015. The airline also started operating its seasonal service to Oakland as well on the same day from Missoula International Airport. The flights to the two destinations would continue through the first week of September this year.

Media reports said that Missoula International Airport will continue to remain quite busy this summer, keeping in with the record-setting trend in 2014. The reports said that apart from low-cost Allegiant Air, other leading U.S. carriers such as Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines and United Airlines are also offering seasonal flights services out of Missoula airport.

Delta Air Lines is presently offering seasonal service between Minneapolis and Salt Lake City. The twice daily service departs at 5.30 am and 6.20 am respectively. The airline has also started operating seasonal flights between Atlanta and Missoula effective from June 7. The once-weekly flights will be operated every Saturday. The airline first started its seasonal service between the two cities in 2013.
 
The reports also said that Frontier Airlines has started offering seasonal service between Missoula and Denver starting mid-May this year. The two cities are being presently served with thrice weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. However, the airline decided to curtail the service on the route this year. During 2014, the airline provided seasonal service on the route with four flights per week. According to the reports, the airline though has started seasonal service on the route a month earlier. The flights now depart at 9.15 pm instead of early morning during its previous schedule.

United Airlines has also started offering daily seasonal service between Missoula and Chicago starting from June 4. The airline has been serving the route for the past nine years now.
