Allegiant Airlines announces new routes; resumes seasonal service

Allegiant Airlines announced its expansion plans. It is all set to offer new routes to few US destinations and will soon resume few of its seasonal flights.

Giving more details regarding the same, the airline informed that it will be adding two new routes from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. This announcement comes only after a month since Allegiant started operating out of CVG airport. It will now connect CVG to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida.

CVG-Tampa flights will be operated twice weekly i.e. on every Thursdays and Sundays and CVG- Myrtle Beach service will be a seasonal route operate every Mondays and Fridays beginning May 30 and terminating August 11. A 166-seat MD-82 aircraft will operate on both the routes. With this introduction Allegiant will now fly ten times a week from the earlier four times a week from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The airline will resume one more seasonal service this year. It will offer nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Wichita beginning June 4. Even this will be a twice weekly service operating every Wednesdays and Saturdays. This seasonal service will run through September 6, 2014.

The airline also announced to resumes its service between Phoenix/Mesa and Stockholm. It will be a twice weekly service flying nonstop between Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and Stockton Metropolitan Airport. With this Phoenix will become the third destination out of Stockton. As of now Allegiant is the only airline to offer services to Stockholm. Other destinations where Allegiant operates are Los Angeles and Honolulu (seasonal flights).

Allegiant has launched service to yet another destination in Florida. It has started serving regular flights to Palm Beach, Florida from Asheville Regional Airport making it the only airport to connect to all five Florida destinations where Allegiant flies. Allegiant offers flights to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and Tampa in Florida from Asheville Airport.
